Gomesi is a traditional, ceremonial dress worn by Ugandan women, derived from the precolonial wear Lubugo, initially only worn by women in the Buganda Kingdom, the gomesi has later been adopted by the rest of Uganda and now a ceremonial dress worn during the holidays, weddings, meetings and other events. Using Acrylic paint on raw canvas and slowly blending in umber, and other colors to draw up the defining factors of the figure.
